Effort
Work every day.
Aim for progress not perfection.
Mistakes are creative opportunities.
Effort is more important than talent.
Honesty
Do your own work. No plagiarism. No robots.
Speak up about your own needs
Telling the truth is less work than lying.
Artists tell the truth, even when they’re lying.
If you don’t know what the truth is, be humble.
· Responsibility
You’re here to learn to be independent.
The teacher will gradually delegate more and more responsibility.
Hold yourself accountable for your work.
You will take care with all class materials.
You will take care of each other.
Your final grade will be comprised of:
1/3 Daily Effort
1/3 Progress Score
1/3 Proficiency
You will be given a daily score for your ability to focus and engage with your artistic practice. That score will go in the gradebook. These are easy points and should function to pad your grade by about 10%
